What is Autism?
Autism is a developmental disorder that may affect a person’s ability to communicate, learn, think, and problem solve, social skills, and behaviors. Autism is a spectrum disorder, in the degree in which that person is challenged or gifted. Accordingly, most people affected by autism require varying degrees of support.
How can we help?
One of the most common concerns is parents or caregivers planning for the future of their autistic loved one if they become unable to care for them in the future, depending on the level of independence their loved one requires.
Who will take care of them?
Do they understand my child’s needs?
How do we protect my child’s eligibility for services and benefits?
What do we need to do when my child turn 18 and is a legal adult?
We can assist with:
- Special Needs Trusts
- ABLE accounts
- Letters of Intent
- Benefits counseling
- Guardianship
- Conservatorship
